Little Rockets is a basketball camp teaching the beginning
fundamentals of basketball to children ages 4 years old through second
grade. You are never too young to begin playing basketball.
Camp has been an exciting time. In our 3rdd year, we had over
180 four-year olds through 2nd graders. The future looks bright! We would
like to thank the young athletes and their parents for participating in
"Little Rockets." We also send a special thanks to the student athletes who
volunteered their time and the adults who coached and organized the event.
All proceeds go back to the Rocket Basketball Club to support the basketball
programs and other athletic programs in the Cedar Grove-Belgium School
District.
This program is designed to foster, encourage and promote the
playing of the sport of basketball stressing fundamental skills, teamwork
and sportsmanship. Little Rockets is run by adult coaches of the
Rocket Basketball Club with varsity player assistance.
Each camper received a t-shirt and a basketball for them to continue
working on the fundamentals of basketball. Each camper also had
a chance to win a portable basketball hoop donated by the Rocket Basketball
Club.
