9 -14 Year-Old Rules
Our Officials are
volunteers. Most of them are not certified officials. They are giving
their time to help out in doing something that most people do not like to
do. We would ask that you treat our referees with respect at all times.
Thank you.
- 15 Minutes or 12 Points, whichever comes first.
- Referees will be stationed on the court and will officiate the game.
- After a defensive rebound or made basket, the ball must be taken
back past the three point line at the top of the key area (free throw
line extended) Free Backs.
- Half court line is out of bounds. If the ball goes out of bounds, it
can only be entered with a check at the top of the key.
- If a player is fouled by the opponent and he or she makes the
basket, one point will be added, along with the point given for the
made basket.
- If the defense commits 2 fouls during a single possession the
offensive team will be awarded one point. The ball then goes to the
other team.
- Referees will keep track of time and score.
- General basketball rules apply.
- Overtimes are three minutes. 12 point rule will not apply in
overtime.
- One pass must be made after checking of the ball (player may dribble
to enter 1st pass).
SUBSTITUTION
- Substitutions can be made after a made basket or a dead ball.
- Before subbing indicate to the referee that a substitution is taking
place. Unlimited substitutions.
TIME OUTS
There will be ONE-60 second time-out given to each team
to use.
SCORING
- Two point baskets will be worth one point.
- Three point baskets will be worth two points.
- Intentional fouls are one point.
- Unsportsmanlike Conduct is one point (players or fans).
TIEBREAKERS
- Head to head is first criteria.
- If a three-way tie, the three teams will flip a coin and the odd
team will sit while the other teams playoff. Then the winner of that
game will play the coin flip winner.

15 Year-Old - Adult Rules

- 20 Minutes or 20 Points, whichever comes first.
- During the game if the offensive player feels he/she is fouled,
he/she will yell foul and the referee will allow or disallow the foul.
If the referee agrees, he will administer the foul. If the referee
disagrees, play is continued without interruption.
- If the defense commits 2 fouls during a single possession the
offensive team will be awarded a 1 point basket. Ball then goes over
to other team.
- After a defensive rebound the ball must be taken back past the three
point line at the top of the key (past free throw line extended) . No
Free Backs made basket the ball must be checked at the top of the key.
- Half court line is out of bounds. If the ball goes out of bounds, it
should be entered with a check at the top of the key.
- If a player is fouled on a made basket, one additional point will be
added, along with the point for the made basket.
- Referees will keep track of time and score.
- Overtimes are three minutes – The 20 points no longer apply (no
additional time-outs).
